Construction welders refer to special operations in construction, and their certificates are issued by the Department of Housing and Urban Rural Development of the People's Republic of China. As the name suggests, construction welders are only applicable to construction sites. Welders operating outside of construction sites need to obtain a special operation certificate for welders. The construction welder certificate is reviewed every 2 years and renewed every 6 years

Special equipment welders are uniformly issued by the Quality Supervision Bureau. Special equipment is divided into metal welding operation and non-metal welding operation.
Only those who pass the assessment and obtain the "Special Equipment Operator Certificate+" can engage in corresponding operations or management work.
The classification of special equipment welding projects by the Quality Supervision Bureau is based on welding methods, welding materials, and welding equipment models as codes.
